On July 7, 2000, Sony released the PSone system, a smaller version of their original PlayStation system. During that time, it became the highest-selling console for the rest of the year, even outselling the PlayStation 2. The PSone is able to play any game from the classic PlayStation library, although it is not entirely compatible with every PlayStation accessory.
